Timothy Harper
Paddy Flaherty's, Friday June 27/03
Reviewer: Laura

Friday Night, June 27 I had the pleasure of attending Paddy Flaherty's Irish Pub to witness harpist Timothy Harper's Cd release party. What an amazing artist we have here! It was standing room only as a seat was not to be found after 8:30 and according to the staff the phone had been ringing all day! Although the place was full the staff didn't skip a beat as we never waited for a drink and the ashtrays were emptied often. Nice atmosphere = good time. Timothy Harper... well he is definitely Sarnia's best kept secret! He amazed the crowd with beautiful Celtic melodies from his new Cd, "The First Forest" with my favorite song, "Is this what you wanted." He was accompanied by Sarnia's ever popular Mike Blackmore on guitar who also played some of his own songs. Timothy played his own hand-made Harp and in between the songs was very personable with the crowd, telling them stories, jokes and even dedicating a beautiful song to the love of his life: his wife Shelley. It was an enchanting evening and next time Timothy Harper plays in town it is highly recommended to pop in and enjoy!
