This
is one place I would never have thought of when going out for dinner. Was I
ever surprised! We didn't get there until about 7 or 8 pm. The whole place
must only seat about 20 - 30 people, so it's kind of cozy. There are nice
booths on one wall and a bar and pool table on the other. The waitress came
over right away and took care of our drink orders, leaving us with menus.
I had the roast beef sandwich with fries and Greek salad. I barely touched
the fries or the salad, because the sandwich was so good, I had to eat the
whole thing. It had lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and beef, and was served on
the best buns ever! (My mouth is watering just thinking about it again).
The dipping sauce, or gravy, whatever you want to call it, was excellent as
well; there could have been more of it, though. For a cheap meal with real
quality and flavour, in a very casual and welcoming atmosphere, I would
definitely go there again; maybe next time I'll bring the husband.

Sylvia and I finally ventured out after a long summer of eating BBq's and
busy times. We decided to venture into the downtown area and visit Ollie's
Bar & Grill. It was a Friday Night and it looked like the regulars were in,
sitting around the bar having some social time amongst friends. It was a
very warm atmosphere and you felt very welcomed as you came in. There was
lots of room to sit at a booth so we sat and the server came right over and
got us Caesars to start. Ummm, very good Caesars. Then we got chance to
check out the menu and relax. They had a good variety of things so it was
hard to choose and I'd been there before so I wanted to try something
different so I choose the Chicken Supreme and it was totally awesome! It was
on the freshness bun I think I've ever tasted and the chicken and fresh
tomatoes, onions and lettuce just melt into the cheese and it is totally
amazing. If your a chicken lover as I am go try this out, it is amazing and
chances you won't be able to finish all the fries with it either. We sat
around a bit after we we totally stuffed (Oink, Oink) and a few couples came
in and looked like this was their destination for the evening so I don't
doubt they get a crowd in by the end of the night. I didn't see any young
people mostly 30+ which was nice as we knew a couple people, lol.
I would definitely recommend that you check it out, both for a meal and a social evening as they do have a pool table.
