Laura
and I went out for dinner at Crabby Joe’s. What a beautiful place.
The décor in there is so comforting and relaxing, it makes the
atmosphere feel the same way. We were greeted right away by a smiling
face, and were taken to the bar first for a drink. The drinks were
excellent. I opted for the Mango Colada, which was superb!! This
one is sure to become a new favourite of mine.
As I said, we were greeted at the door almost immediately, and once our drinks were done, we were whisked away to our awaiting table. The server introduced herself right away and was very attentive without being intrusive (you know what I mean!).
I’m afraid I wasn’t hungry enough for a big dinner, so I just ordered the Crabby Joe Superstar Sandwich. It was layered with many wonderful ingredients on fresh foccacia bread. Man, what a sandwich! It was very tasty. I ordered mine with fries and gravy, just like I was in high school again. Yummy!
Because I didn’t finish my entire plate, Laura wouldn’t let me order any dessert!! Lol. They truly looked awesome, but I just couldn’t do it, I was too stuffed. I will go back with more of an appetite next time, for sure, if only to stuff some great dessert down!!
I give this place a 9 overall. Great food, excellent service, no complaints at all.
Laura:
You
know, I had heard some not-so-good things about Crabby Joe's in London so I
was a little apprehensive about going to the new local one but boy am I glad
I went now! We had a great time! For those who follow the reviews I
tend to focus more on service, ambiance, cleanliness ect. and this place
shines for all of the above. When you walk in it is huge and very fresh and
clean looking. Although there were many people there you didn't feel like
you were packed in, it felt very open & roomy.
We were greeted promptly and seated in a timely fashion. We choose to sit in the bar area and it was a very open concept and wasn't smokey like some bar sections so their ventilation and high ceilings must be doing the job. I had the Chicken Club on foccacia bread and it was amazing! Melted in your mouth! Accompanied with fries and gravy I was so full I took half the sandwich home for later. This restaurant will do very well here as Sarnia is a "meat and potatoes" town and at Crabby Joe's you get large portions for reasonable prices. I strongly recommend you check it out and I agree with Sylvia that it rates a 9 for sure! Oh, and the Ceasars were so good I had to have 2 to make sure I wasn't dreaming, lol. Hold the hot peppers though, eek!
