Sylvia : The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the decor. It is really pretty without being to frou-frou-frilly. They have these incredible glass etchings in the middle area of the restaurant. You need to go to this restaurant just to see these! They are beautiful etchings of the Bluewater Bridges.

We went for a late lunch on a Saturday Afternoon, so it wasn`t busy at all . The entire place is non-smoking, so smokers beware! On to the menu, right? Well, it was short. I liked it because it didn`t have 400 different choices!! Some places just go nuts with the amount of selections. I think they are trying to please every single person that enters the establishment.

Anyways, the menu at Bridges was really nice, although the prices on the appetizers seemed a little high. $6.00 for French Onion Soup seems like a lot. We didn`t order any appetizers this time. I ordered the Monterey Smoked Chicken Sandwich. When I asked the server what kind of bread it came on she told me it was foccacia, so I ordered it because I love foccacia bread. Well, it was on a panini roll, which is like a wider, tastier version of a good hot dog bun. I was kind of disappointed when I saw it, but actually, it was a really tasty sandwich. It came with fries; long, skinny crispy fries. Yummy! All in all, it was a pretty good lunch. On a scale of 1 to 10, I`d give it an 8!

Laura: Sylvia and I attended the Holiday Inn`s Bridges Bistro for lunch last Saturday for a late lunch. The ambiance was stunning, even in the daytime. The glass etchings were magnificent plus the golf course, nature  and an odd boat sailing by. Yes, even in October we were able to watch a boat pass.  The restaurant was really quiet and peaceful and you felt very isolated from the hectic convention just down the hallway.

We were seated in a corner where is was quite secluded for conversation. The restaurant as a whole is set up nicely. The server was pleasant and the menu was complete. As Sylvia mentioned it was small but efficient and it was a little on the pricey side for the appetizers. Now, we didn`t order one so you never know, they could have been large portions! The lunches were huge! I ordered a clubhouse sandwich and it came with fries and they came in the form of a mountain on a huge plate! They were delicious as was the sandwich. One problem I find with the higher end restaurants is they are so worried about presentation that you end up leaving hungry because piles are not appealing this year. Bridges Bistro offers a fine dining experience that left me very satisfied and full!  I am agreeing with Sylvia on this one, an 8 out of 10 for sure. I look forward to the opportunity to go back at nighttime for an evening out. This is a special place that you definitely would want to save for a special night!
