Sarnia`s Online Entertainment Guide!

Hello my name is Michele, and I live with my family in one of the prettiest cities in Canada: Sarnia, Ontario. I am a self-taught webmaster and this site has been live since Sept/2002. I am not affiliated with the City of Sarnia, Sarnia-Lambton Tourism, K106.3 or any of the local media. This site is 100% Canadian and 100% independent but without help I would not be able to provide you with this site. From my friends & visitors I receive pictures, reviews and ideas and from my family patience & receive support. I finance the site, events and supplies thru offering advertising, web design and SR promotional items (coming soon).

I've lived in Sarnia since the age of two and worked in the Food and Beverage industry for 10+ years while raising and supporting a young family. In 1999 I realized that I had hit a glass ceiling in my job so I created myself a huge debt and headed off to college to get a business diploma. I have been lucky to work in the 'Chemical Valley' since graduation and currently work full-time in the office of a local insulation plant. You see, I am a 'regular Joe' just like you. It all started after a very packed Tragically Hip show at Bayfest 2002. I realized that tourists came to Sarnia thinking Bayfest was all Sarnia had to offer and I was inspired to prove them wrong. So, I started messing around with web design and 1 calendar and then I realized it was too full so I needed to break it down to more specific calendars and it just grew and grew. Today the site has evolved to over 100 pages.

SarniaRocks.com is a one-stop-shop for tourists and Sarnians alike to be able to see at any given time what is available and what is going on in our happening city. Not only do we tell you what's up, but we tell you what we think of it! How good is that? All the opinions on this web-site are not the views or opinions of this web-site but the opinion of the writer of those thoughts or ideas. Traditionally to find out what's going on in our fair city, people check the newspaper or hear it by word of mouth, but now you can come here and see it all!
